Many preparatory, mechanical and hydraulic tasks can be carried out by you in accordance with professional plans and manufacturer instructions. Depending on the project, these include foundations, positioning equipment, pipework and insulation. We agree the scope together. Electrical and grid connections and any necessary refrigerant work must be carried out by qualified contractors.
Does a heat pump also fit my old building?
An existing home with radiators may also be suitable. Heat load, heat emitter capacity and required flow temperatures are among the key factors. We therefore assess your building and design the system accordingly. Selecting equipment by floor area alone is not sufficient.
What is part of the heat pump self-assembly kit?
Depending on the quote, the kit includes the heat pump, storage tank, hydraulic components, connection materials and planning documents. Tool hire, installation support, a video check and commissioning may also be included. Your quote sets out the binding scope for your project.
What happens if I get stuck in the assembly?
Discuss questions with our team and review your installation using photos or a video call. WhatsApp support seven days a week is included in relevant packages. Telephone hours, scope and appointments depend on the agreed support package.
Can I receive a grant if I do the installation myself?
Under the applicable rules, directly related material costs may qualify if a specialist company or energy efficiency expert confirms correct installation and expenditure. Your own labour is not eligible. The grant application, contract and start of work must follow the prescribed sequence. Explore grant funding.
Who puts my heat pump into operation?
On-site commissioning is carried out by our qualified technicians or a suitable specialist service, as set out in your quote. We help you prepare. A preliminary video check can identify visible issues, but it does not replace the required on-site checks or commissioning.
Is the first configuration really free?
Yes, starting with the online configurator is free. Subsequent technical planning, calculations and other services are commissioned through your individual quote. You do not need a completed heat load calculation for the first step.
